Many horses are trained in a traditional way of forcing them to obey without understanding what they are supposed to do. They dont think like we do, or have an understanding of right and wrong. They think that we like to wack them on occasion just for the heck of it, and try to figure out how to stop the wacking.  (This is NOT how Harmonytrails horses are treated or trained.)

Teaching them our concept of right and wrong ( they dont adopt it for themselves, but respect our use of it) they then understand how to make us happy and gladly oblige. This can be done through gentle means and trust is secured by the horse for the rider. The Harmony method uses no restraint, and the horse is taught the concept of right and wrong so they are then very eager to do what the rider wants them to do.
